The Hakuba Dune Buggy Arena (HDBA) is the full-scale dune buggy circuit that Hammerhead Motors Japan presents.
In the specutacular mother nature of Happo-One, Many people, from the youth to the adult, can experience the real driving in the full-scale dune buggy circuit.

Since our full time course crew would assist, you can enjoy our dune buggy if you are:

  • Under 18 years old
  • No experience of driving the car
  • Driver who has a driver's license but never drives
  • No confidence of driving
Our course crew would ride beside you and explain basic operation of the dune buggy, and the driving tips of HDBA. Play safe, Play hard!

Please drop in when you go out Hakuba Mountain at any occasion.

  • At the reception, please present your Identification such as driver's licence, passport, etc.
  • Those who drink alcohol, take cold medicines must not ride the buggy.

To the dune buggy driver!
The dune buggy that Hammerhead Motors Japan offers has designed and structured fully ensure the safety of driver and passenger; however, the dune buggy itself is the full-scale racing machine equipped with the gasoline engine. You must realize this buggy is dangerous enough to cause the serious problems inadvertently or intentionally,
not only to you and your passenger but also to visitors, course crew, facilities and so on.
Every driver must understand and follow the cautions below, and get fun to drive!

  1. Please follow the course crews' instructions when you are in the course. If you cannot follow our crews, you must be refused your drive by our buggy. At such occasion, we do not refund any fee back to you.
  2. Please choose the right size of the helmet and the glove when your turn comes.
    *Please put inner cap on directly to your head and then wear the helmet.
  3. Please confirm the seat position when you ride on the buggy. Please sit back in the seat, then, make sure the pedals and the steering wheel are at ease with the driving.
    *The right pedal is an accelerator, and the left pedal is a brake.
  4. After confirming the seat position, please fasten a seat belt. First, fasten the waist belt tightly, then, fasten the shoulder belt. Please do not extend arms and legs from inside the buggy.
    *Driver must keep gripping the wheel during the riding. Passenger should keep holding the shoulder belt.
  5. Please stop driving the buggy and make a signal to the course crew by raising the left hand as a signal, when the buggy hits the pylons and/or poles, when the buggy face the wrong direction because of the spin out, and when you feel something unusual. Please stay still until the crew comes.
